1. Measuring & Marking for Precise Positioning
Measure iron materials and mark dimensions strictly according to wok specifications with reserved forging tolerance, ensuring accurate size and standard shape from the very beginning.
2. Precision Cutting & Blank Shaping
Cut standard round wok blanks along the marked lines and remove excess materials. The uniform-thickness and flat-edged blanks provide high-quality base materials for subsequent forging.
3. High-Temperature Heating & Iron Softening
Heat the wok blank to glowing red at high temperature to soften the iron, enhance ductility, remove surface impurities and release internal stress for easy shaping and forging.
4. Handle Forging & Preliminary Forming
Forge and stretch the handle base while the iron is hot and flexible. The integrated forming process tightly combines the handle with the wok body to avoid loosening and falling off.
5. Wok Body Forging & Overall Shaping
Stretch and shape the wok body through repeated hot forging. Standardize the bottom radian, wall height and rim contour to complete the basic wok shape.
6. Handle Correction & Fine Trimming
Correct deformed handles generated during forging, adjust angles and polish connecting gaps to ensure symmetrical handles and smooth overall lines.
7. Oxide Layer Removal & Iron Purification
Strip surface oxide scales and forging residues via hot forging to purify the iron texture, improving the wok’s rust resistance and heat uniformity.
8. Surface Polishing & Basic Smoothing
Adopt multi-stage polishing to remove burrs and surface flaws, smooth the inner and outer walls, and lay a foundation for subsequent cold forging.
9. Primary Cold Forging & Base Compacting
Perform full-area dense hammering on the cooled wok to compact surface iron molecules, close tiny pores, stabilize the structure, and improve hardness and wear resistance.
10. Secondary Cold Forging & Texture Refinement
Carry out refined dense forging to trim subtle unevenness, unify surface texture, further compact deep iron layers, and optimize heat conduction and natural non-stick performance.
11. Tertiary Cold Forging & Hammer Pattern Forming
Conduct full-angle precise forging to form uniform and delicate manual hammer patterns, maximize molecular compactness, and achieve optimal toughness and non-stick performance.
12. Final Smoothing & Finishing
Fine-hammer and polish every detail including the rim, bottom and connecting parts. The finished wok features smooth surface and dense texture with high temperature resistance, rust resistance, wear resistance and non-stick properties.
